Bio
Hello and welcome!
My name is, Brandon Bagwell, and I'm an aspiring lighting designer/EOS Programmer/educator based in Clarksville, TN, but I find myself traveling all over the country! I have experience in theatre, opera, dance, television, live event, and architectural lighting design. I graduated from my undergrad, the University of Evansville, cum laude with a BS in Theatre Studies and an Associated Study in The Classics. I then received my MFA in Lighting Design from Boston University. I have spent time working on both coasts of the lighting world. On the West coast, I worked with Michael Veerkamp at Team Imagination, Inc in Los Angeles, California. On the East coast, I have worked at regional theaters in Massachusetts, New York , New Jersey, and other areas across the US. I spent the 2020-2022 school years as the Professor of Lighting Design at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga. I have also spent summers at the Williamstown Theater Festival, most recently as the Lighting Supervisor (2018-2019) and other summerstocks/institutions across the US. I am continuing to look for employment to expand his knowledge of lighting design inside and outside of the theatre. Along with creating theatre, I have a great passion for education and learning. I spent the 2020-2022 school years (2 total) at Kennesaw State University as the Professor of Lighting Design. I've been guided by many caring mentors, and I focus on trying to find educational opportunities for the next generation of artists to benefit from. I'm always looking to continue and nurture the ideas of collaboration and mentor ship inside and outside of the theatre. I am also a proud member of USA 829 and ACT card holder.
